Metal Emotion explores the confusion and disconnect robots feel in their journey to identify their emotions. Faces that cannot move, vocabulary that cannot describe—can robots feel what they cannot conceptualize?
Though each machine remains expressionless, their actions and environments depict what they’re truly feeling—the curiosity toward’s one’s reflection, the loneliness of space, the isolation of one’s programming, the companionship of finally finding someone who can understand you—then betrayal, grief, jealousy, longing, emotionless and emotional controlled by the cleanliness of a brushstroke. Each machine has a story and portrays its emotions in its own ways, even when they don’t have the words to define it.
